[LCBB] L-C Basketball Boosters Annual meeting next week: May 20th

L-C Basketball Families:

 

The annual meeting of the Luxemburg-Casco Basketball Boosters is Wednesday
May 20th in the L-C High School cafeteria.

 

At our annual meetings, we hold elections for open board of director seats.
We are accepting nominations for the following 4 seats:

 

Secretary                                  Basketball Operations (event
planning)

Treasurer                                  1 at-large director

 

We are accepting nominations through Monday and then ballets will be made
for the Wednesday election.  If you would like to nominate someone or are
interested in being nominated, please contact Mike Kinnard by phone

Please try to attend the annual meeting next week so you can participate in
the election.  The elected board makes all decisions for the club.  By
attending regular meetings to give your input and by participating in the
nomination and election of officers - you make your voice heard.  

 

In other news, we held a successful Terrific Trios 3-on-3 tournament on
April 24-25.   Over 50 teams participated and we will have the final
financial report at our May 20th meeting.   All games were held at the
Primary School and we had plenty of volunteer help.  Thanks to everyone who
was able to help.  And for those of you that were not contacted to help or
could not help - you'll get your chance again next winter.  Also, thanks to
the L-C teams that participated.  We had nearly 20 L-C teams compete.

 

Each year we generate over $15,000 in fundraising activities.   We then
spend a similar amount funding basketball related activities and items.   We
are always looking for new ways to generate funds and new ideas on the best
way to utilize these funds - so we encourage your involvement.
