[LCBB] Basketball Booster Club

We had our regular monthly meeting of the L-C Basketball Boosters for
January this week.  There we 10 people present.  This included 6 of
the 7 board members and 4 additional members.

It came to my attention at this meeting and via a few other
conversations that there is some disagreement with the club's decision
to fund a coach bus for the girls to their Dec 30 game at Madison
Edgewood.

I respect everyone's right to an opionion.  I would like to encourage
those that have an opinion to step forward at our meetings and express
their opionions.  To simply complain about desicions made without
coming to a meeting and participating or speaking to a board member in
the decision process is not constructive and does nothing for our
basketball program.  Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of every
month excluding June and July.

I know not all of our basketball supportors are on this mailing list -
so if you know of someone that has commented on this topic, please
forward this message to them.

Now I'll say a little bit about the decision process and this
particular decision.

Our bylaws provide for 7 board members.   All decisions are made in
the form of motions made by the board and voted upon by the board.
All decision made by the board are in the minutes of the meetings.

The bylaws also define who is eligble to be a member of the club.
Members elect board members to open seats at our May meeting.  Boad
members serve a 2 year term in their seat.
